Two high schoolers had a fun workshop with me for two days in their winter break.
Hannah, my friend Senny’s daughter, is a very busy 12th grade student in Piedmont Hills High School. She wants to relax after turn in her college applications. So Senny call me to plan a sewing workshop for her.
I sent her 4 proposals to let her pick, also suggested her to find friends joining this workshop with her.
Two days before New Years 2017, Hannah and Michelle had their first sewing project done in total 8 hours fun workshop in two days.
兩個高中生，在她們的寒假期間跟我上了一堂有趣的私塾課。
朋友Senny 的小女兒Hannah，是一個非常忙碌的高三學生。就讀於 Piedmont Hills 高中的她，在緊張的忙完將伸請大學表格都送出去之後，很想好好的輕鬆一下，於是 Senny 找我為她設計了一堂車縫的私塾課。
我送了四個方案讓她選，並建議她找朋友一起來玩。
過年前兩天，Hannah 和 Michelle 就在我的私塾中各自完成了首件車縫作品！
My Proposals～方案1-4
1~Simple Quilting Table mat
簡易拼花桌墊
Total 6 hours for making one or two table mats by using sample book fabrics in two days .
兩天共6小時可完成一到二個用樣品布做成的桌墊。
2~Double side Quilting Bag(A)
雙面拼花肩袋 A
Total 6-8 hours in two days.

Two girls are totally novice for machine sewing. They pick up #4 to be their project. It looks too hard for them but end up it’s just right.The materials I choose for them are fleece⋯
兩個女孩從來沒有碰過縫紉機。她們選擇了第四項，看似複雜，但卻是非常適合新手上路的作品，因為我選用的材料是絨頭織布⋯

easy to seam together 容易縫合
it’s hard to tell if the sutures aren’t accurated萬一沒能精準的縫合也看不太出來
…so many good reasons for beginners to choose.

For going through 8 hours work in two days , the
results made them happy and made me proud.
經過兩天共8個多小時的努力，完成的作品令她們開心，更令我驕傲！

It’s dark outside !!
Senny came to pick them up. They were so tired and hungry,but excited at the same time. What a grate photo! See how happy they were !
天黑啦！
Senny 來接她們了！又餓又累的她們同時也非常的興奮。我請她們為我留影，看她們可開心嘍！
” This is the outfit we are going to wear for dinner tonight!” Girls laughed each other and rushed to the car.
I told Senny” Don’t worry, these outfits are going to be the best fashion style outfit tonight in the restaurant.Haha……”
“我們將穿著這件衣服吃晚飯去!”她們笑鬧著上車等媽媽。
我笑著對Senny說：「別擔心，這可算是今年最時尚的“晚宴服”了，哈哈⋯⋯」
The process was not always smooth. Although they felt frustrated sometimes, but on the other hands, they learned how to solve problems from making mistakes. It’s so precious to have these mistakes.
過程總無法盡如人意，雖然偶有挫折，但反之，從錯誤中學習進而找出方法解決，才是我覺得最珍貴的地方!
